1 No power 1. Remove the battery and try powering the laptop with the AC
adapter only. Try another known working AC adapter.
2. Replace the battery. Try another known working battery.
2 No video 1. Hook up a monitor to the laptop. If the monitor gets an image, the
LCD is broken or there is a possible driver issue. If the monitor
does not provide a display, then the problem is possibly a system
board issue.
3 No wireless
connectivity
1. Check for a wireless button on the front or side or hotkeys to
toggle the wireless adapter on and off. Often there will be a light to
indicate the wireless adapter is on or off when the button or
hotkeys are pressed. Make certain the adapter has not been
turned off.
2. Connect with an Ethernet cable to a known working drop. If you
can connect to the Internet, use the HP utility at
http://hp.com/go/ispe to test your hardware.
3. Reload or update the wireless adapter driver.
